The fall Calgary Woman’s Show might be over but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop! There are still a lot of great events in the city this November and December. Here are a few fun events to attend in the coming weeks:
FIREFIGHTERS: Who doesn’t love steamy photos of some of Calgary’s finest firefighters? Guys from the Hotstuff Calendar will be hosting calendar signing events all over Calgary this November and December. Stop by one of their events for a calendar, t-shirt or free hug! Proceeds go towards the Calgary Burn Treatment Centre.
TOY DRIVE: As the holidays draw closer, it’s time to start thinking about presents! While you’re shopping for Christmas gifts, make sure to pick something up for CTV’s annual Toy Mountain drive, which runs November 21 to December 23. Toys, cash and other much needed items will be collected to support the Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter.
2. Girls Night Out
THEATRE: Grab your friends for dinner and a show! Stage West will be rockin’ to “Hollywood Hits: Songs That Rocked the Movies” starting November 18 and for fans of the Big Bang Theory, Jubilations will be performing “The Big Boom Theory 3” beginning November 11. Theatre Calgary’s annual production of “A Christmas Carol” appears on stage starting November 24.
WINE: Did you know Co-op Wine and Spirits has tons of awesome tasting events throughout Calgary? Find your new favourite bottle of wine to bring to all of this season’s holiday parties. As well, Co-op’s signature event The Grape Escape returns to the BMO Centre this November 18-19.
CELEBRATE: The Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS) is celebrating its 10-year anniversary on November 19. There will be music, beer and wine tasting plus a raffle draw where you could win a 14K necklace with a 4.736 carat diamond from Troy Shoppe Jewellers! Grab your tickets and support this wonderful charity.
SANTA: Kick off the holiday season by taking an adorable pet photo with Santa! Visit Pet Valu Deer Valley on November 26-27 to have your pet take a photo with the North Pole’s very own Santa Claus.
